The purpose of Foundation & Practitioner accreditation is to confirm you have sufficient knowledge and understanding of the PRINCE2 method to be able to work effectively with, or as a member of, a project management team working within an environment supporting PRINCE2. You will also achieve sufficient understanding of how to apply and tailor PRINCE2 in a scenario situation.
You will develop a detailed knowledge of the PRINCE2 methodology working through the project lifecycle from pre-project preparation to project closure. At Foundation stage you will learn how to initiate projects and create essential project documents such as the Project Imitation Document and the Business Case and learn how to control each stage of the project and address issues surrounding project completion.

Foundation Level
- Multiple choice
- 75 questions per paper
- 5 questions to be trial and not counted in scores
- 35 marks required to pass (out of 70 available) - 50%

Practitioner Level
The Practitioner examination is scenario-based. It uses nine objective test questions to test your ability to apply the methodology. Each question area is worth 40 marks and consists of a number of sub-parts. An overall score of 180 marks out of a possible 360 is required to pass. You will have three hours to complete this open-book examination.
