The purpose of Foundation Level accreditation is to confirm you have sufficient knowledge and understanding of the PRINCE2 method to be able to work effectively with, or as a member of, a project management team working within an environment supporting PRINCE2.
You will develop a detailed knowledge of the PRINCE2 methodology working through the project lifecycle from pre-project preparation to project closure. At Foundation Level you will learn how to initiate projects and create essential project documents such as the Project Imitation Document and the Business Case and learn how to control each stage of the project and address issues surrounding project completion.
By the end of the training you will be able to:
- Understand the PRINCE2 methodology
- Appreciate the implications of implementing PRINCE2
If you are working with, or as a member of, a project management team working within an environment supporting PRINCE2 then this course is for you. It will provide you with an internationally recognised qualification in project management and enable you to progress to Practitioner Level.

Joy is an experienced consultant and PRINCE2 qualified trainer, a member of the British Psychological Society and the Association of Project Management.
Her key areas of expertise include project and programme management, competency-based development, psychometric assessment and feedback (BPS Level A and Level B qualified), coaching, designing and implementing training delivery in project management, performance management, leadership development and personal effectiveness.
Joy is an Associate with AKU Training delivering PRINCE2 project management training in Belfast and further afield.
