Better Business Cases?Foundation Level gives you a good understanding of business cases so that you can confidently work as part of a team using the Five Case Model. It provides the framework, tools and techniques to ensure effective decision making during the consideration of costs and risks associated with an investment.

The Better Business Cases Foundation qualification is suitable for all individuals that need to prepare business cases, in the public and private sector. It includes anyone who needs to convince their colleagues or superiors of the rationale behind a suggested investment, making the proposal look more professional and increasing its chances of approval and wider stakeholder engagement.

It will benefit senior responsible owners (SROs), programme directors and project managers, directors of finance and procurement and planning. It will also be relevant to members of management boards with strategic responsibility for approving proposals, business analysts and staff from centres of excellence and project offices.

The exam is a closed book multiple choice paper. There are 50 questions and the pass mark is 50%. You have 40 minutes to complete this paper. Upon successful completion of the Foundation exam you will receive the Better Business Cases Foundation Certificate.
