Challenging Unconscious Bias in Recruitment
This course provides an opportunity to explore, investigate and understand unconscious bias in recruitment practices and for participants to explore how their own identity, values and attitudes might impact upon their work and on the recruitment experience.
The programme will provide staff with the opportunity to discuss unconscious bias in recruitment practices, to reflect on current practice, to share experiences, to develop competence and to identify areas of focus for future development.
By the end of the training course you will be able to:
- Learn how unconscious bias arises from our cognitive and neurological processes
- Understand how unconscious bias affects perception, behaviour and judgement in recruitment processes
- Explore the impact of unconscious bias on applicants
- Understand what individuals/businesses can do to manage and mitigate bias in the recruitment processes
If you are involved in recruitment practices within your organisation, a training course on unconscious bias in recruitment will be extremely beneficial.
