Procurement awareness and drafting effective specifications and tender award criteria
The Preparing to Go to Tender workshop is designed to raise awareness for those involved in the procurement process and goes beyond theoretical understanding by providing a hands-on, practical approach. It focuses on drafting a tender specification, tender award criteria and scoring models, whilst contextualising the associated legislative requirements and explaining the general principles of good procurement. It also emphasises the importance of considering contract management at the outset of a procurement.
Participants will recognise the difference between selection and award criteria and the crucial link between the tender specification, the award criteria and the contract management plan. They will also learn how to develop tender documentation that enables informed decision making when awarding the contract.
