AKU announces charity partnership with Hospice NI
We’re delighted to announce that AKU Training is a Northern Ireland Hospice Charity Partner.
Northern Ireland Hospice provides specialist palliative care and support to babies, children and adults living with life-limiting illnesses across Northern Ireland, as well as providing vital support to their families.
As a local Northern Ireland business, supporting the communities in which we live and work is really important to us. Our partnership with NI Hospice gives the AKU team an opportunity to get involved, have some fun and, most importantly, help raise funds and awareness for an organisation providing such an important service to local families.
From scavenger hunts to dragon boats!
Earlier this year, Team AKU put their problem-solving skills to the test in support of Hospice by taking part in the Clash of the Companies Scavenger Hunt – and we were delighted to finish third overall!
Now we’re swapping clues for paddles as we prepare for our next challenge.
On Friday 18 September, the AKU team – aptly named The Draggin’ Trainers – will take to the River Lagan for the NI Hospice Dragon Boat Race.
There may be a little friendly competition involved, but the real goal is to raise as much as we can for Northern Ireland Hospice and Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice.
Help us make a splash for Hospice
We’ve set ourselves a fundraising target of £2,000, and we’d love the support of our clients, trainers, partners, friends and wider AKU community.
Every donation will help NI Hospice continue providing specialist care and support to local people and their families when they need it most.
Support The Draggin’ Trainers and donate to our Dragon Boat fundraising page
We’ll be sharing some photos from the day and hopefully evidence that our training skills transfer successfully to a dragon boat!
Wish us luck!
