Credit Management

Good credit control is the life blood of any organisation and you will gain an understanding of the key fundamental activities of the credit control function. You will find out what credit management is all about, why it is important and the implications if not done well.

By the end of the training you will be able to:

  • Understand the key principles of credit management
  • Appreciate the importance of credit to your business
  • Know how an effective credit department should be structured
  • Know how to apply industry best practice credit management procedures to your organisation
  • Design and write a credit management policy
  • Manage your customer accounts effectively

If you are a business owner, director, manager or financial controller who wishes to establish a robust credit management system within your organisation this course will provide the framework to do so. It will provide you with best practice in order to implement a sound credit management function.

    Pat Nixon MICM

    Pat is currently a Credit Management and Insolvency Advisor with Baker Tilly Mooney Moore based in Belfast’s Clarendon Dock.

    As an Associate with AKU Pat delivers a range of bespoke and public courses on credit and cash flow management in Belfast and further afield.

    Pat started his career in credit management in 1989 with local firm Fletcher and Collins dealing with credit analysis, credit scoring and overdue collections. In 1996 he moved to Moore Stephens Chartered Accountants to manage the Credit Management Services Division and to maintain an advisory role on insolvency and recovery matters.

    Pat has been a member of the Institute of Credit Management since 1994 and is a past Chairman of the Northern Ireland Regional Branch.

More than 3 weeks prior to the course start date - No cancellation fee payable.

Less than 3 weeks prior to the course start date - 100% of total fees payable or free transfer.

ACCREDITED TRAINING

More than 6 weeks prior to the course start date - No cancellation fee payable.

Less than 6 weeks prior to the course start date - 100% of total fees payable or free transfer.

Substitute delegates will be accepted at any time at no cost.
